Tanzanite

Tanzanite - Is usually purple-blue, but actually ranges from light periwinkle to deep blue to violet-purple. Tanzanite is a form of zoisite containing chromium and strontium, but the violet-blue color typical of tanzanite can be obtained artificially by slowly heating green zoisite. Tanzanite is considered a stone of magic, producing the perfect symmetry of personal power and actualization. Celtic chiefs used it to aid in decisions concerning successor-ship.
